The Future is a Collective Project
Over 5 weeks between 26th September and 25th October each of the 5 artists commissioned for the exhibition, Our House of Common Weeds, will lead a public session for discussion of their research and work in progress.

Res. are pleased to be hosting researcher Christy Hyman and artist Noah Angell in conversation regarding Hyman’s current work on the landscapes experienced by runaways from enslavement and exploitative labour on the East Coast of the United States from 1805-1840. Castor is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new works by Barry Reigate. Produced simply with an airbrush on canvas, these large scale paintings sit somewhere between the digital and a seemingly naive primal act of doodling. Collaged elements of hatching and gradients combine, filling the canvas with movement and depth. Yet these works deny their painterly roots, sitting flat on the surface of the stretched cotton as if the result of a print process rather than from the hand of the artist.Read more →
